Welcome to the 2026 Patina Challenge, featuring the Hitchhiker Wallet crafted in Natural Pueblo leather.
This year’s challenge lets you build a Hitchhiker that’s uniquely yours. Choose between matte black or antique brass hardware, then finish it off with your preferred thread color and lanyard to create a wallet that reflects your style from day one. Natural Pueblo starts off clean and understated, but that’s only the beginning. With regular use, it darkens, deepens, and develops character over time—making it an ideal leather for a full year of wear, use, and transformation.
The challenge runs from January through December 2026. We’ll be selecting quarterly winners along the way, each receiving a surprise gift. At the end of the year, one participant will earn the title of 2026 Patina Challenge Champion and take home a Shell Cordovan Hitchhiker Wallet in the color of their choice.
This is all about real-world use—carry it daily and let it tell your story. Share your progress on Instagram throughout the year using #wildrpatina26. In December 2026, all entries shared under the hashtag will be reviewed, the top three will be selected, and the final winner will be decided by a community vote.
Patina Challenge Rules

Participants must purchase a 2026 Patina Challenge Hitchhiker Wallet made from Natural Pueblo leather to be eligible.

Progress photos should be shared quarterly and/or at the end of the year on Instagram using #wildrpatina26. The more you share, the better—we love seeing how each wallet evolves over time.

Free shipping applies to the Grand Prize winner within the United States only. International winners will be responsible for applicable shipping costs.

Quarterly winners will be selected by Wildr Goods in March, June, September, and December.

At the conclusion of the challenge, Wildr Goods will select three overall finalists. These finalists will be featured in a community vote on Instagram to determine the 2026 Patina Challenge Champion.
